Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton played Santa Claus on Tuesday for one young fan who’s battling a heart condition.
According to Sports Illustrated, 10-year-old Austin Deckard, a huge Auburn Auburn Tigers fan battling a serve heart condition called pulmonary hypertension, wanted to meet the former Heisman Trophy winner and the reigning NFL MVP.
And that wish was granted:

When Cam walked into the hospital room at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Elgeston, the young boy was in awe and his face shinned with a smile at his family. Newton then shared a lengthy and powerful embracement with him.
Courtney Cooper, Austin’s teacher, posted a Facebook message Dec. 20 about his situation and his desire to meet Newton:
