US soccer legend Landon Donovan announced retirement from soccer on Thursday and although he wasn’t on the 2014 World Cup roster, the US Men’s National Team still paid tribute to the greatest US soccer player in history as he prepares to retire at the end of the 2014 MLS season.
The 32-year old announced his retirement via his Facebook page that this season will be his last professional soccer season. The USMNT put then put together an awesome highlight reel of LD’s best moments during his tenure with Team USA.
Landon Donovan will go down as the greatest US Soccer player in history. He will also go out as the leading scorer in the history of US Soccer and Major League Soccer.
