Here’s The Trailer For The ‘Concussion’ Movie Starring Will Smith

The trailer for the much anticipated movie that will surely bring the NFL’s concussion controversy to the floor front as been released. Peter King of MMQB was provided the first exclusive trailer for Concussion, which will star Will Smith as Dr. Bennet Omalu, the neuropathologist who is at forefront of the CTE research.

The movie’s trailer illustrates Dr. Omalu’s difficulty in having his research taken seriously and the NFL’s efforts to keep the dangers of repetitive head trauma a secret.  The movie Concussion will release December 25th and is based on the article written by GQ’s Jeanne Marie Laskas.

The film will likely paint a bigger picture than the the book written by Mark Fainaru-Wada and Steve Fainaru called “League of Denial”  on the controversy about concussions in the NFL, having Will Smith play the main character will certainly have people play close attention and put even a bigger spotlight on this subject. 

The NFL has yet to release a statement on the release of Concussion but rest assure this movie will spark more criticism on this topic.
