It’s the time of the NFL season when teams are fighting for their playoff lives and emotions are running high, and as a result, tempers can flare on the field.
All eyes are on the matchup taking place in the meadowlands today, with Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. facing off against Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman. There was never an establish feud between the two coming into Sunday, but with an undefeated season, playoffs, and two big egos on the line, this one was bound to get chippy – and that it did.
The two got into an altercation on the field during a play in the first quarter, a play in which the ball was not thrown to Beckham, and then another play following, where Beckham landed a cheap shot on Norman, which ended with the two throwing each other to the ground.
Despite the scuffle breaking out right in front of a referee, neither player was penalized on the play, which was questionable considering it appeared Beckham landed a few punches and took his helmet off.
