Tim Tebow’s Prayers Helped Save A Man’s Life On Airplane

Tebow

Tim Tebow might not be able to accurately throw a football to a wide receiver but when it comes to throwing a prayer in God’s direction, Tebow is as accurate as they come.

According to a Facebook post from Richard V Gotti, Tebow was on a flight from Atlanta, GA to Phoenix, AZ when one passenger suffered what is being called a “medical emergency.” The Delta Airlines crew tried all they could to help the man but had no such luck.

Step in one Tim Tebow.

The former Heisman Trophy winner showed up out of nowhere, and did what he does best – prayed.

All of a sudden, the guy’s pulse returned.

Here’s the story told by Richard on his Facebook page:

I have to share this story! I was traveling on Delta Airlines Flight Number 1772 from Atlanta, Georgia to Phoenix, Arizona when there was a medical emergency on board. An older gentleman began having what appeared to be heart problems, and he went unconscious. I watched strangers from all over the world and every ethnicity come to the help of this man for over an hour! Whether it was chest compressions, starting an IV, helping breathe life into this man, or praying everyone helped! I listened to shock after shock from the AED machine and still no pulse. No one gave up. I observed people praying and lifting this man up to the Lord in a way that I’ve never seen before. The crew of Delta Airlines were amazing. They acted in a fast and professional manner! Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation. The plane landed in Phoenix and that was the first time they got a pulse back! Please share this with your friends! Pray for this man and his family, and also thank God that we still have people of faith who in times of difficulty look to the Lord!

      • I’m glad someone said it.

        There is always an explanation for why something happens. Are we always able to explain such an event in a scientific manner? No, but that doesn’t mean we automatically inject some magic as the explanation of why something happened.

        • It’s not so much as automatically injecting…but you said it yourself. Their is always an explanation why an event occurs. Now whether it’s “scientific” or not isn’t the problem. The problem is you choose the evidence. Nothing else was working until Tebow led the prayer. (I should add this has nothing to do with Tebow having more “prayer-power”, that’s just how God works.)
          Many things were tried to help the man, and none worked. Then Tebow prayed for him. Then the man came back. Conclusion: The power of prayer works.

          Now you can also nit-pick the very fine details of this story all you want, and I will guaranteed not have an answer to all of them (as much as I’ll try.) I will not attempt to have an answer for God’s work. But I can tell you this much. The power of prayer works, and God is real, and this is an extraordinary example. If you doubt me, great, you’re entitled to your opinion. I’m just defending mine and my faith.

          • So why did god let the man have a heart attack in the first place if only he was going to change his mind over a few humans annoying him with their wishes? God was like “oh jesus christ I can’t get anything done!” Then just gives up and lets the guy live. How about the guy was going to get a pulse anyway. The religious humans have to call it a miracle to reinforce their views just to say “see…see what the power of prayer can do!!!!’ What about the million other times the ‘prayer’ doesn’t do a thing and the guy/girl dies? We just don’t hear about those do we? I’m not knocking religion. I’m just saying don’t cherry-pick.

          • A) The issue of why God let the man have a heart attack in the first place tells me a bit about your misconception of our Christian God. God isn’t a random spiritual being whose job is to make life on Earth for all humans as easy and painless as possible. And with what is going on today, I’m sure if that were the case you and me could both agree he is doing a very poor job. God is the master of the universe, but his purpose isn’t to make life easy and painless. He permits bad things to happen as well as good things to show his power and love through the bad.

            We call it a miracle because it was. None of the other medical methods were working, but when the massive prayer was held, the man regained his pulse. That’s basic scientific theory honestly. Options A B & C didn’t work, but D did, so D we can conclude is valid.

            The millions of times prayer doesn’t work, it’s not because God doesn’t hear it or it just didn’t work or your not Christian enough. It’s because even though we want something and we request it through prayer, God has a bigger and perfect plan going on all around us and he doesn’t give us what we pray for because He ultimately know’s what he needs.

            So the Christian god is truly omnipotent? He knows want has happened, is happening, and what will happen until the end of time? You say he causes or allows bad things to happen for whatever reason. What has me lost is why religiour people pray? By praying a person is essentially saying they know better than God or they put their wants before him. I know some people pray to offer thanks, but what about something like this heart attack incident? That heart attack was somewhere in God’s master plan or at the least he knew it would happen. Praying is essentially telling him he’s wrong then or at the very least it’s putting the praying person’s wants ahead of God’s plan.

          • What you have just shown is that you have a lack of understanding of cause and effect. There is absolutely no substantial proof that is was “prayer” that made the man come back. None.

            There is also no substantial proof that your god exists.

            You simply don’t understand what happened to make this man come back, so you automatically assume that it was done by some invisible being with magic powers to grant or take away life. Faith, by definition, is believing in something for which there is no proof.

            Do you also believe that Unicorns, the Tooth Fairy, and Dragons all exist somewhere in this world?

          • You serious? The proof is this story. When nothing else works, but pry are did, that at least gives it some validity, albeit maybe not a 100% answer but definitely validity. And if you want proof that my God exists, that is a LOT more then I can type, so I encourage you to do your own research, unless you’re content being lazy and not looking into it more. You simply don’t understand religion, much less God. Don’t tell me theirs no proof when you haven’t done the research. Their are plenty of books written by people MUCH smarter than me, so look into it.

            And, as a matter of fact, faith by definition (Oxford English Dictionary) is COMPLETE trust or confidence in someone or something. So before you continue, let’s get our definitions straight shall we?

            I can defend this threat and my faith/God forever, but it would help if you also did your own research. Believe me, I’ve done mine. Look into God, u say theirs no proof, let me tell you A LOT of people MUCH smarter Than you and me would disagree.

          • There is no proof that your made-up god exists. There is literally ZERO verifiable evidence that any god exists. None. Zilch. Nada. And to believe in something like this defies logical thought.

            Here are the two definitions of faith:
            fāTH
            noun
            1.
            complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
            2.
            strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

            You believe in something without proof. I’m glad we’ve gotten that straight now.

            Now, how can you prove that it wasn’t one of the other gods that saved this man’s life? How do you know that it wasn’t the Greek Goddess Hestia that saved this man’s life? Maybe it was the Egyptian God Anubis that decided this man was not ready to be welcomed to the afterlife. On second thought, it was probably Coatlicue, the Aztec god, that decided to spare this man from his heart attack.

            I’s clear that YOU haven’t done enough research to determine which god is the right god. You should probably do more research before going around telling everyone to worship the wrong god.

  2. I am sorry for the guy who had the heart problems, but I’m pretty sure that it was the IV, and the chest compressions, what saved this man’s life. The training of the crew were more valuable and helpful that the ability of a guy to speak with a fictious deity. It’s unbelivable that this asshole, Richard Grotti, diminishes all the real efforts of the crew and everyone else whom really did something, and he gives credit to a guy that just stands there talking to a fake thing called god!! unfrickingbelivable!! He also said that other people prayed, but it was until Tebow did it when it worked…it implies that his god listens more to Tebow just because he was briefly famous and played football, a lame-ass level of football if I might add….
