Despite being 2-7 and in the conversation for being one of the worst teams in the NFL outside the Cleveland Browns, Bears LB Pernell McPhee still decided to take a shot at the surging New York Giants who will host the Bears on Sunday.
McPhee met with reporters earlier in the week and sent a clear message to Giants quarterback Manning, saying the Bears plan on “tearing his ass up.”

Eli Manning did respond to McPhee’s comments in typical Eli fashion:
“Like I said, they have a good defensive line,” Manning said in typical Eli fashion after the quote was read to him. “They’re getting a lot of sacks. They have four guys that are getting sacks, especially in the last four or five games. All of them are getting into the action. We have to be prepared for a talented front four.”
