BREAKING: Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski Cleared From Concussion Protocol

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has reportedly cleared the final hurdle of the NFL’s concussion protocol and is ready to go for Sunday’s Super Bowl 52:

Gronkowski’s status for the Super Bowl had been unknown ever since he left the AFC Championship Game in the second quarter following a helmet-to-helmet hit from Jacksonville Jaguars safety Barry Church.

When asked about his status earlier in the week, Gronk didn’t seem too concerned but when it comes to concussions, it’s not a matter of just “sucking it up” and playing, Gronk actually had to be cleared by doctors.
