It was a long wait but linebacker Shaquem Griffin finally heard his name called, being selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 141st overall pick in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Griffin, a congenital amputee, became the feel good story of the Draft and it was an awesome moment for him to and his family, who shared this experience when he got the call from head coach Pete Carroll:
The call @Shaquemgriffin was waiting for finally came. Thank you to this wonderful family for letting us tell their story. @Seahawks pic.twitter.com/qAnZxkroy3

If you don’t get chills/tears/misty-eyed watching the scene at Shaquem Griffin’s house when he was drafted, get your heart checked. pic.twitter.com/xD3x03prKa

What makes this whole thing even more awesome is Shaquem will join his brother Shaquill in Seattle for the first time since the two were teammates at UCF.
