Broncos Reportedly Offered QB Colin Kaepernick Spot On Team, But He Turned It Down

The Denver Broncos are in desperate need of a backup quarterback after the Paxton Lynch experiment looks all but failed.

With Lynch and only rookie draft pick Chad Kelly backing up new free agent signing Case Keenum, John Elway is looking for a veteran signal caller. Apparently Colin Kaepernick could have been that guy.

Despite the alleged “blackballing” of NFL teams showing a lack of interest in the former Super Bowl quarterback, Elway reaffirmed to the media Thursday when asked about the quarterback situation that he did offer Kaepernick a contract, but it was turned down.

There is no word yet on the specifics of the contract that was offered.
