Even after a heartbreaking loss to the Panthers Sunday falling to 1-4, Giants fans have something to smile about on Monday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the team plan to released offensive tackle Ereck Flowers if a trade cannout be worked out by the Tuesday 4PM deadline.
Giants will release OT Ereck Flowers if he is not traded by 4 p.m. Tuesday, per source.

The Giants took Flowers with the 9th overall pick in the 2015 draft, and has disappointed ever since.
Consistently giving up sacks at left tackle, the team moved Flowers to right tackle in hopes of at least giving Eli Manning a warning of when a pass rusher is coming to sack him. Their hopes of turning his struggles of missing blocks and racking up penalties around were dashed.
The Giants benched Flowers during Week 2, ironically, the only game the team has won this season.
