The Indianapolis Colts sent offensive lineman Matt Slauson to injured reserve Monday following an injury he suffered gain Thursday night’s game against the Patriots.
After X-Rays, Slauson’s injury has been disagnosed as a broken spine, two broken vertebrae to be specific.
Shockingly, the injury didn’t even take him out of the game, playing an entire half with the injury. Doctors say it could have been costly.
Backstory on Matt Slauson’s scary injury: Broke 2 vertebrae in his spine early 3Q Thursday, then played through it. Only later he learned he was one play away from serious damage — could have been paralyzed. “I had no idea how close I was to changing my family’s life,” he said.
