It was announced Wednesday that Eagles QB Carson Wentz will be inactive for this Sunday’s game against the Rams, and possibly the remainder of the season.
An X-Ray confirmed the latter after revealing Wentz has a fractured back.
A recent CT scan on Carson Wentz’s back revealed a fractured vertebrae that, if allowed time to rest, would fully heal without further expected issues, sources tell ESPN. There will be a continued evaluation to determine if continuing to play this year will make injury worse.

The injury marks another disappointing end to a season for Wentz, coming off a year where he tore his ACL and LCL. That injury could have very well lead to instability that catalyzed Wentz’s back injury.
The Eagles will start Nick Foles at quarterback for the remainder of the season.
