Texas A&M’s Derrick Tucker Charged With Assault After Argument Over Tacos

Apparently, Texas A&M defensive back Derrick Tucker takes “Taco Tuesday” very seriously.

According to a report from ABC 13, Tucker was arrested this week and charged with assault in connection with a March 24 fight in College Station:

A Texas A&M University football player has been charged with assault in connection with a March 24 fight in College Station.
Derrick Tucker, who is listed as a defensive back on the Aggie football roster, was booked into the Brazos County Jail and released Thursday after posting $5,000 bail, according to court documents.
According to the police report, Tucker and another man got into an argument over tacos, and the argument became physical.

Police said the other man had scrapes, cuts and bruises all over his legs and hands as well as swelling on the back of his head.
No information about the circumstances of Tucker’s arrest on Thursday was released. He is listed as a junior from Manvel on the Texas A&M athletics website.
Assault causing bodily injury is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
