Dak Prescott Wants To Be Highest Paid QB In NFL, Wants $40M A Year From Cowboys

Dak Prescott has made it clear he won’t take a home town discount to resign with the Cowboys, and he wasn’t kidding…

After turning down a contract offer of $30 million per year from Dallas, the QB entering his fourth season in the league is reportedly asking for $40 million a year, a figure that would make him the highest paid player in the league.

The ask has been noted to be a “negotiating tactic” that in actuality would come down about five million, but even at $35 million, Prescott would be making Aaron Rodgers/Russell Wilson/Ben Roethisberger money. The common denominator between those QBs? Rings on their fingers.

In a predicament where the Cowboys are attempting to pay Dak, Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper all at the same time, it looks like Jerry Jones has some negotiating to do.

Perhaps Dak, Zeke and Amari can get paid what they’d like and the rest of the 50 players on the roster can split the remaining $7.50.
