It’s official. Showing any sort of emotion is against the rules in a sport built around fully grown men running full speed at each other.
The dumbest penalty in college football was on display during the Oregon-Auburn opening week game in Dallas, where Seth Williams scored the go-ahead touchdown for his team with mere seconds left in the game.
In a swell of emotion, Williams aggressively threw the ball down to the turf and was hit with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for it.
