The Detroit Lions will be amongst the teams that will be in attendance during Colin Kaepernick’s workout on Saturday.
That decision doesn’t sit well with many Lions fans.
Lions beat writer Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press shared a bunch of text messages and e-mails he’s received from fans, who are irate that the team is attending Kaepernick’s workout:
The Lions will likely be without their starting quarterback, Matthew Stafford for some time after it was reveled that Stafford has broken bones in his back.
The team started backup QB Jeff Driskel last week vs Lions.
When asked about their decision to attend the workout, here’s what Lions HC Matt Patricia said:
“We, as an organization, we always do our due diligence on all players that are available, I know Bob (Quinn) and his staff will have someone down there to watch the workout and we’ll see where that goes.”
