After an injury in November 18, 2018 that nearly cost Alex Smith his leg, and his life, and despite all the odds the veteran QB is back under center during an NFL game 694 days later.
Smith was listed as the teams backup quarterback after getting cleared to see action for the first time prior to Sunday’s game.
He completed his first pass on the first play after entering the game but was sacked by Aaron Donald a couple plays later to end the drive.
