REPORT: Vikings Were Going To Take Justin Fields With 14th Pick Until Bears Drafted Him

This won’t make Kirk Cousins too happy…

Each NFL Draft seems to include one highly-touted QB sliding down the board while lesser-known, wildcard QBs get selected above him. This year, Justin Fields was that guy.

The slide stopped when the Bears traded up and selected the Ohio State signal caller with the 11th pick, a selection that would have reportedly been made by the Vikings had the Bears not taken their guy.

The Vikings ended up taking Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond later on with the 66th overall pick.
