University of Texas linebacker Jake Ehlinger, the younger brother of former Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger, was found dead Thursday, Austin police officials said.
Via the report:
“Police said they received a call at 12:18 p.m. and found Jake Ehlinger in the 1200 block of West 22nd Street. Authorities did not specify how they found him but did say his death is not considered suspicious.
No cause of death or other details were released.”
Ehlinger did not play the last two seasons.
His brother was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the NFL draft Saturday. During that time, Jake’s face was actually shown instead of Sam, but he loved it.
“Good, good,” Sam said with a huge grin during his availability with reporters. “Jake deserves all the screen time you can get.”
