Minshew Mania is officially dead in Jacksonville.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jaguars are sending their backup QB to the Eagles for a conditional 2022 sixth-round pick.
Minshew was the starter last season but of course with the No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence taking the helm, Jacksonville saw the opportunity to get something back for him.
Minshew rose to stardom taking over for the injured Nick Foles in 2019, completing 22-of-25 passes for 275 yards, two touchdowns in his first game. But it wasn’t the play on the field that captures the hearts of fans in North Florida, it was Minshew’s rednecked, let it all hang out look and personality that was a perfect fit in Jacksonville.
Mishew will be listed as third on the Eagles depth chart.
