Bears Name Justin Fields The Starter For Week 3 Game vs Browns

And so the Justin Fields era has begun.

The Chicago Bears came into the season adamant about rookie QB Justin Fields being the backup behind veteran Andy Dalton, but such has changed due to a knee injury Dalton has been “battling through” after going down vs the Bengals last Sunday.

Matt Nagy announced that Justin Fields will be Chicago’s starting QB against the Browns.

Bears' HC Matt Nagy made the announcement that Justin Fields is Chicago's starting QB with the idea to clear out any distractions and speculation about the issue. "We're ready to attack this thing moving forward," Nagy said.

Nagy says Dalton will keep the starting job when he returns from injury, but we all know how this works if the backup plays well.
