BREAKING: Raiders Have Named An Interim Coach After Jon Gruden’s Resigning

On Monday Night, Jon Gruden resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after emails were leaked showing a variety of homophobic, racist and misogynistic rhetoric.

The team has wasted no time naming an interim coach for the remainder of the 2021 season. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, assistant coach Rich Bisaccia will replace Gruden for the remainder of the season:

Rich Bisaccia enters his fourth season with the Silver and Black in 2021 and 11th with Head Coach Jon Gruden, having previously spent seven years together in Tampa Bay from 2002-08.

Bisaccia’s resume includes 19 seasons of experience as a special teams coordinator in the NFL with the Raiders (2018-20), Dallas Cowboys (2013-17), San Diego Chargers (2011-12) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2002-10). Bisaccia, now entering his 20th season as an NFL coach, spent the previous five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys as the special teams coordinator before joining the Raiders in 2018, including the last three with the added role of assistant head coach.
