Browns’ Malik McDowell Arrested For Public Exposure And Assaulting A Deputy

This past season Malik McDowell’s NFL career was resurged after the former second round pick had his career derailed following an ATV accident.

Unfortunately, McDowell’s career may have derailed again as he was arrested in Florida.

According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, McDowell was arrested for public exposure and beating a deputy. According to the police report obtained by the Sun-Sentinel, it was allegedly a “violent attack” that left the deputy “dazed.”

The arrested occurred on Monday and McDowell is accused of exposing himself in public, resisting arrest with violence, and batter on a law enforcement officer. The police report indicates that the incident started after a call was received that a man was walking naked near a public school.

McDowell has had numerous run ins with law enforcement, including a 2017 DUI arrest and a 2017 allegation of disorderly conduct. In February of 2018, he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting arrest and assault. He was suspended two games by the NFL.

McDowell, a 2017-second-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks signed with the Cleveland Browns this past offseason and started all 16 games tallying 3.0 sacks and 33 tackles.
