Tom Brady Doesn’t Mention Anything About Patriots In His Retirement Post

Tom Brady officially announced his retirement from the NFL after 22 seasons on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram page, saying “my teammates, coaches, fellow competitors, and fans deserve 100% of me, but right now, it’s best I leave the field of play to the next generation of dedicated and committed athletes.”

Brady then went on to thank his family, friends, teammates, coaches and Buccaneers executives in the post, but notably left out one important thing.

There’s no mention of the New England Patriots, no mention of Bill Belichick or Robert Kraft, the two guys who Brady spent 20 years of his career with before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
