The team is hiring their current defensive coordinator and associate head coach Lovie Smith as their next head coach following the firing of David Culley after one year.
Smith, former coach of the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat out Brian Flores, Josh McCown and Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Johnathan Gannon for the gig.
