REPORT: Aaron Rodgers Wants Around $50,000,000 Per Year With New Deal From Packers

Aaron Rodgers will make a decision on his next chapter in the NFL in the near future, and if he’s going to remain in green and yellow, it’s going to cost them, and cost them a lot.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that Aaron Rodgers wants to be the “highest-paid player in the NFL, by a wide margin.” That figure is could be as high as $50 million.

“From the conversations I’ve had with a lot of people in the league, he wants to be the highest-paid player in the NFL by a wide margin,” Russini said. “So we’re talking about $50 million a year. We know the cap situation the Green Bay Packers are in. We know Davante Adams needs to get paid. So there’s a lot on the table.”

Now $50 million for a reining MVP isn’t the craziest thing we’ve seen, but for a 38-year-old Rodgers, a contract that big to a player getting up there is risky.
