Due to obvious reasons such as available land area to build a massive stadium, there are a handful of NFL teams that don’t actually play in the city that’s stated in their name. For instance, the Dallas Cowboys play in Arlington, the 49ers play in Santa Clara, California, and the Miami Dolphins play about 45 min from South Beach (without the traffic), but nobody other than the Jets and Giants can say they play in a completely different state than what’s stated in their name, pun intended.
Most football fans are aware of this, but Evan Neal, who was drafted by the Giants, revealed that he found it out after being selected by the team.
“I didn’t even know the Giants were in Jersey. So that was news to me,” Neal said.
