Giants Are Bringing Back Former Pro Bowl Safety Landon Collins

The New York Giants are bringing back a familiar face.

The team is signing safety Landon Collins, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports:

Collins is being signed to the team’s practice squad but is expected to have a large role as the season progresses. The Giants drafted Collins in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft and has played both safety and, in recent years, linebacker. He spent the previous three seasons with Washington.

Collins’ career started promisingly for the Giants. He finished third in the NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting in the 2016 season, when he had 125 tackles, 4.0 sacks and 5 interceptions, including one that was returned for a touchdown the last time New York played in London.
