BREAKING: Atlanta Falcons Are Trading Deion Jones To Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns add a key piece to their defense, trading for Atlanta Falcons linebacker Deion Jones, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Browns will send a late round draft pick in exchange for the linebacker:

Jones is currently on injured reserve and is eligible to return because he was placed on IR before the first game of the regular season. He is currently signed through the 2023 season and has a base salary of just over $1 million for this season after the Falcons restructured his contract.

Jones was the 52nd overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He’s racked up 652 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 11 interceptions and four forced fumbles in his six seasons.
