New York Giants Player Still Stuck In London After Big Win Over The Packers Due To Passport Issue

There’s not a lot of things better for an NFL player than the plane ride back after a big victory — especially when it’s a long flight.

On Sunday, the New York Giants upset Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, 27-22 to improve their record to 4-1 on the season and the long plane ride back from London was full of enjoyment.

But one Giants player couldn’t be on the plane ride back due to some passport issue.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the team’s punter, Jamie Gillan is still in London as he works through the issue:

The 27-year-old Gillan is in his first season with the Giants, having spent his first three NFL campaigns with the Cleveland Browns. Thanks to a strong performance by the New York offense, Gillan only had to punt twice against the Packers.

Gillan is averaging 51.0 yards per punt, the fourth-best mark in the league behind only Ryan Stonehouse of the Tennessee Titans (54.9) yards per punt), Tommy Townsend of the Kansas City Chiefs (53.3) and A.J. Cole of the Las Vegas Raiders (52.1).
