Running back Ronald Jones tweeted on Friday that he wants to be released from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jones signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Chiefs in free agency during the offseason, but he has found himself buried on the depth chart behind Cylde Edwards-Helaire, Jerick McKinnon and Isiah Pacheco.
Jones hasn’t been active for a single game this season.
Jones was originally a second-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018, and he spent his first four NFL seasons with the Bucs.
