Giants Defender Refuses To Sack Nick Foles To Avoid Getting Roughing The Passer Penalty

The NFL has transitioned tackling the quarterback into a monstrosity of defenders not being able to go high, not being able to go low, not being able to hit them slightly too late, not being able to touch their head, and not being able to put their body weight onto the QB – of course all needing to be calculated by a defender in a few milliseconds of real time.

The league has seemingly refuses to put a stopping point on how soft they’ll go with another slew of hilariously soft roughing penalties over the course of this season, and this is exactly what they’ve brought upon themselves.

During Sunday’s Colts-Giants game Sunday, Giants LA Jaylon Smith stopped himself from sacking Nick Foles in order to avoid a penalty, and it made for a whacky scene.
