NFL Announces Bills-Bengals Game Ruled A No-Contest, AFC Title Game Could Be Held At A Neutral Site

There was no winners from the Bills-Bengals game after Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field during the first quarter, and things will remain that way.

After exploring a plethora of options on how to solve the conundrum of how to totally do away with a Week 17 game that was pivotal to playoff standings, the has opted to rule the game a ‘no-contest’, meaning the game will essentially never have occurred and neither team will be rewarded nor punished.

The result of this though opens up a can of worms which the NFL will navigate based on the results from the Week 18 slate of games involving the Bills, Chiefs and Bengals to determine who gets what seed in the fairest way possible, most outcomes of which lead to the 2023 AFC Championship Game being played at a neutral site.

Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures…
