EA Sports Will Remove CPR Celebration From Madden Video Game After Damar Hamlin Injury

EA Sports is set to remove one of their celebrations from the Madden video game following the injury Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin sustained last week.

According to TMZ Sports, the creators of the video game will do away with the CPR touchdown celebration in the aftermath of Hamlin needed CPR after he sustained cardiac arrest on the field in Cincinnati.

A spokesperson for EA Sports told TMZ that the “virtual end zone dance will be taken away as apart of an update to Madden 23 in the next few days.”

The celebration has been a popular one amongst gamers this year as it allows players who score touchdowns to pretend they were in need of CPR to “revive” them.
