Patrick Mahomes Had To Stop Travis Kelce From Taking Over Podium During White House Visit

The Kansas City Chiefs took a trip to the White House on Monday, where they got to meet President Joe Biden to celebrate their 2023 Super Bowl win.

The Super Bowl champs stood behind President Biden as he congratulated the team on the win, despite admitting that his wife, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, was not happy with the Chiefs’ win over her beloved Philadelphia Eagles.

POTUS went on to deliver individual compliments to quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and head coach Andy Reid during his statement. Later, he honored the late Norma Hunt, who’s husband Lamar Hunt found the team.

One of the more hilarious moments that came during the celebration was when Kelce saw an opportunity to take control of the POTUS’ podium and right as he began to speak, his quarterback — Patrick Mahomes — stepped in to stop him.

We’ve all seen the kind of stuff Kelce can say when he has control of the mic so you can’t blame Pat from stepping in to stop him.
