Awesome: Damar Hamlin Was A Full Participant During Bills Minicamp Practice

Damar Hamlin took a massive step towards taking the field again on Tuesday.

ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg reports that Hamlin took the practice field with his helmet on and went through a full open practice for the first time since he suffered cardiac arrest on January 2nd during a Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane announced on April 18 that Hamlin received full medical clearance to return to football.

Head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on May 23 that Hamlin was “in the building working,” but he “has not been practicing” during organized team activities. He took part in individual drills but wasn’t on the field during the team periods.
