Giants Sign LT Andrew Thomas To Record-Breaking Contract Extension For An Offensive Lineman

The New York Giants have locked up another one of their cornerstone players.

According to multiple reports, the Giants and star left tackle Andrew Thomas have come to an agreement on a record-breaking five-year, $117.5 million extension that includes $67 million guaranteed at signing, which is a record for an offensive lineman.

The 24-year old All-Pro is now under contract with the Giants through 2029. The $67 million guaranteed puts Thomas ahead of Baltimore’s Ronnie Stanley ($64.1M), New Orleans Ryan Ramczyk ($60.2M), Houston’s Laremy Tunsil ($60M) and Kansas City’s Jawaan Taylor ($60M).

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Thomas emerged as one of the NFL’s best left tackles last season, earning second-team All-Pro honors while anchoring an offensive line that helped the Giants finish with the league’s fourth-best rushing offense.
