REPORT: Three Other Teams Were Interested In Trading For Trey Lance

The Dallas Cowboys weren’t the only team that were interested in trading for Trey Lance.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions had serious conversations with San Francisco about trading for Lance.

The Cowboys were the only ones that were willing to give up a 4th round pick thus landing the 2021 No. 3 overall pick:

Lance will have a chance at getting his career back on track as Dak Prescott’s backup. He’ll need to stay healthy as injuries have plagued him throughout his career so far.

As for the 49ers, they chose Brock Purdy and Sam Darnold over him even though they gave up a lot to draft Lance just a couple of years ago.

They’re hoping that Purdy can show that he’s the real deal after only 12 combined games last year. His first regular season game of this season will come against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 10.

Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. ET.
