Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro defensive lineman Chris Jones remains away from the team as the Chiefs prepare for their season-opener against the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
With the game 48-hours away, it seems highly unlikely that Jones will play in that game. The next question is.. when will he play?
Based on Jones’ latest social media activity, it may be advocating for a trade away from Kansas City rather than eyeing a return to the field for Chiefs Kingdom.
The All-Pro ‘liked’ a Tweet on Twitter/X suggesting a trade from Kansas City to Dallas.
A potential trade has been all but ruled out by Chiefs GM Brett Veach as he noted the two sides had been in communication in recent days. But Dallas being considered a potential landing spot for the 2022 All-Pro would not be a surprise given their national profile.
As Jones holdout continues, it’ll be interesting to see if Veach loosens his stance.
