REPORT: Cooper Kupp Won’t Play In Week 1 & Rams May Put Him On Injured Reserve

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp has been dealing with a hamstring injury throughout the summer and suffered a setback last week that is very troubling.

On Wednesday, Rams HC Sean McVay ruled Kupp out for their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks and took it a step further by not ruling out the possibility of the Rams placing him on injured reserve:

Kupp first injured his hamstring on Aug. 1 and after his setback last week, visited a specialist in Minnesota on Monday to get the muscle examined.

A high ankle sprain cost Kupp half of last season, but in 2021, he was the NFL Offensive Player of the Year and was named the Super Bowl LVI MVP in the Rams’ victory over the Bengals.
