Ex-Raiders Punter Marquette King claims he was released back in 2017 from the team because of he playfully bullied team owner Mark Davis in front of some females.
King, a 2016 second team All-Pro selection, said that he put the Raiders in a headlock and gave him a ‘soft nuggie.’
During an appearance on Audacy’s Silver and Black Today, King explained how much the Raiders meant to him and how couldn’t ever imagine playing for another team, then proceeded to share the story about Mark Davis.
After leaving the Raiders, King briefly joined the Denver Broncos in 2018, but his contract was terminated due to an injury settlement. He later played for the St. Louis Battlehawks in 2020.
