Zach Wilson Takes Accountability After Costly Fumble In Loss vs Chiefs: “I Lost Us That Game”

Zach Wilson played the best game of his career on Sunday night against the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs but the stellar performance didn’t come without a costly mistake.

In the 4th quarter of the game, Wilson dropped the snap and it was recovered by Chiefs’ Tershawn Wharton. That was the last time the Jets touched the ball as the Chiefs were able to pick up multiple first downs and end the game with a couple of kneel downs.

After the game, Wilson was asked about his performance and couldn’t get past the costly turnover, taking full accountability of the loss, even admitting that he “cost” the Jets the game.

Wilson was also spotted on the sidelines as the final seconds were ticking off the clock telling teammates that he takes full accountability of the loss.

Wilson went 28-of-39 for 245 yards and two touchdowns in what is unquestionably his best performance of his career. But despite that, the Jets still lost, 23-20, to the Chiefs and fell to 1-3 on the season.

They will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos in Week 5 and if they can get performances like the one they got tonight from Wilson going forward, maybe the Jets can salvage their season after all.
