After sending a 2022 first-round pick, a 2022 second-round pick, a 2022 fifth-round pick, a 2023 first-round pick, a 2023 second-round pick and three players in tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris and quarterback Drew Lock to Seattle in exchange for Russell Wilson, the Denver Broncos are releasing the star QB and moving in another direction as many predicted following the last two seasons of turmoil.

The Broncos will save $37M guaranteed on his contract by cutting him earlier than later.
Wilson already has an $85M dead cap hit as it is. Just brutal for Denver.
