Tarik Cohen attempt to make an NFL comeback just got a huge boost.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cohen is signing a 1-year deal with the New York Jets. The 29-year-old hasn’t played in the NFL since Week 3 of the 2020 season, when he tore his ACL, derailing a promising career.

Cohen missed all of 2021 while rehabbing form the knee injury and all of 2022 after suffering an Achilles tear during spring workouts. Cohen signed with the Carolina Panthers practice squad last season. He struggled with a hamstring injury and never was called up to the Panthers’ 53-man roster and was released.

If Cohen is going to have a chance of making the 53-man roster, it’ll be as a return specialist.
