It’s Drake Maye time.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the New England Patriots will hand the keys to the franchise over to Drake Maye on Sunday, starting the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on Sunday against the Houston Texans.
The Patriots started the season with Jacoby Brissett as their starting quarterback but have lost four games in a row after beating the Cincinnati Bengals 16-10 in their season opener.
Maye will now join Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix as the fourth rookie quarterback to start a game this season.
