REPORT: Aaron Rodgers’ Free Agency Decision “Might Not Come” Until After 2025 NFL Draft

If you’re waiting for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision on where he will be playing football in 2025, you might be waiting for a while.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Rodgers decision could be dragged out until the 2025 NFL Draft.

“Do you draft someone? That’s about a month away, so all of us would like this done sooner rather than later. I don’t get the sense that Rodgers is in any kind of hurry at all,” Rapoport said. “Could it drag out all the way to the draft like it did two years ago? Maybe it could.”

The Jets parted ways with Rodgers on March 12 and the four-time MVP remains without a team as he contemplates the options which are currently the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants. Rodgers is reportedly interested in signing with the Vikings, but that feeling doesn’t seem to be mutual, despite the Vikings not completely ruling it out.

While it might be annoying for people to continue to have this topic be at the forefront of news around the NFL, it would be wise for Rodgers to wait until after the Draft before deciding. If the Giants take a quarterback with the No. 3 pick, that could sway Rodgers to Pittsburgh. As for the Steelers, they could also be in the market for a quarterback in the Draft, as well.

Either way, it seems like this Aaron Rodgers-saga is far from over.
