Stop me if you heard this before: A Georgia Bulldog player has been arrested for reckless driving and speeding.
Bulldogs wide receiver NiTareon “Nitro” Tuggle was arrested on Tuesday morning by Athens-Clarke County Police on misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and speeding, according to UGASports.com. Tuggle, a rising sophomore, was booked into the Athens-Clark County jail at approximately 1:56 a.m. ET on Thursday morning and released an hour later after posting a $20 cash bond, according to court records.
Tuggle’s driving arrest Thursday followed a string of similar car-related arrests the Bulldogs experienced over the last several offseasons. Last July, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution released a report revealing Georgia football players were involved in 24 driving-related incidents since January 2023.
The troubling trend continues.
