Browns Reporter Takes Hilarious Shot At Bill Belichick And His Girlfriend With One-Liner During Award Speech

Longtime Cleveland Browns beat reporter Mary Kay Cabot was giving a speech for being awarded the Bill Nunn Memorial Award from the Pro Football Writers Association (PFWA) on Friday night when she decided to take a swipe at the first NFL coach she covered, Bill Belichick.

Cabot noted how Belichick use to give her a hard time if he didn’t agree with what she wrote about the team. She couldn’t help but end her Belichick portion of the speech with the perfect shot at the 73-year-old coach.

“Now, I totally understand why Bill gave me such a hard time,” Cabot said in her acceptance speech Friday. “I was 28 at the time and he just couldn’t relate to a woman that old.”

Belichick has certainly garnered the headlines ever since he began dating 24-year-old Jordan Hudson, especially since taking over as the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The Bill Nunn Memorial Award is presented by the PFWA annually to a reporter for their long and distinguished contribution to pro football through their coverage.
