BREAKING: Browns Expected To Start Dillon Gabriel In Week 2 Preseason Game vs Eagles

Dillion Gabriel will get his shot.

The Cleveland Browns announced that rookie third round pick Dillon Gabriel will make his NFL debut with his first preseason start against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. Tyler Huntley will be the only other quarterback available or the Browns against the Eagles so expect Gabriel to play the majority of the game.

Gabriel split team reps with veteran Joe Flacco during two days of joint practices with the Eagles on Wednesday and Thursday. His involvement seemed to suggest he’d be ready to play in Cleveland’s second preseason game, but head coach Kevin Stefanski wasn’t willing to make any promises until they saw how he progressed through the week.

Originally, it was supposed to be Shedeur Sanders but he suffered an oblique injury that will sideline him this week.
