The Dallas Cowboys have locked up a key piece of their offensive line for the foreseeable future.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys and Pro Bowl left guard Tyler Smith have agreed to a four-year, $96 million contract extension that includes $81.2 million in guaranteed money, making Smith the highest-paid interior offense lineman in NFL history.
The Cowboys selected Smith 24th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Tulsa.
Smith is playing this season on the fourth year of his four-year, $13.4 million rookie contract. The Cowboys reportedly exercised the $21.2 million fifth-year option on his deal for 2026 prior to April’s draft.
